I have to say that from the very first contact made at this dentist enquiring about implants to the present day, the members of staff have been incredible to say the least. My first visit was to make enquiries on how implants are done and what would be involved in this process. I knew that my front tooth had to be removed and as I am pretty nervous on having any type of treatment at the dentist and looking in to having an implant concerned me as I knew some stages of the procedure.

I have to say that at my first consultation when it was fully explained what was involved in the implant procedure, although I was keen to make a start I was also nervous about how much pain I could be in, even though I was told I would not experience any pain just slight discomfort. Well my thoughts since starting the treatment are ‘I am amazed’ because not only during the removal of my front tooth but also the placement of my implant I have not had a bit of pain.

My implant is now in place, and looking forward to now gaining the smile I have always wanted. I still can not get my head around the very fact that I have not experienced any pain throughout the whole process.

After having suffered an abscess beneath a crowned tooth, I was advised by Simon (Dr Thackeray), that considering the age of my crowns, this could be the beginning of a series of potential problems. Following several lengthy discussions with Simon, I decided to embark on a complete transformation of my teeth. Simon then produced a detailed plan of treatment which was fully explained to me including costs, procedure, duration and anticipated end results.

I attended each appointment knowing exactly what was going to happen on that particular visit which I found very reassuring. Throughout my treatment I have consistently been treated by Simon and his team with absolute care, consideration and total professionalism. My treatment is now complete and I have fantastic teeth that I regularly show off by smiling much more than I used to.

All I can say to anyone who might be having second thoughts about undertaking extensive treatment is; don’t! Just do it – I can promise that you won’t regret it.
