DENTAL HEALTH CHECKS IN MANSFIELD

A dental health check is so much more than just checking your teeth. First we will ask you about your concerns, if you have any dental problems and how long they have been going on. We want to understand your dental issue so the more information you can share with us the better.

We will then ask about your medical history as we know that dental health and general health are inter-related and one can reflect upon the other. Once we have a full background of you and your history we will start to examine you. First checking outside your mouth for any signs of infection or problems and then inside your mouth.

We perform a full examination of all your dental tissues from the lining of your mouth to your gums and then finally on to your teeth. Most adults lose their teeth through gum disease so a thorough gum inspection is vital to ensure the right treatments or preventive advice is given.

After we have inspected your mouth we may need to take some images with either a camera or an x-ray machine or even a CBCT scanner which we are fortunate to have in the practice. Correlating all this information allows us to deliver a treatment plan that will ensure great future dental health.
